In California – A mother and three of her children - the youngest was a
month old, the other two were toddlers – were discovered in a home with a
Meth lab and crystal Meth. All four had to go through a decontamination
process that police set up in a tent in the driveway of the house next
door. The children were placed in protective custody after they were
decontaminated.
In
Arizona - Police found four children, ages 16 months to 17 years, when
they busted a home Meth operation. Two women were arrested.
In Indiana – Three children, ages 7, 6 and 19-months, were removed from a
home after police found a Meth lab in their home – in a closet just off a
child’s bedroom. Three adults were arrested for Meth manufacturing. The
house was next to the police station.
In California – Two children were in a home when police discovered a Meth
lab in the garage. Two adults were arrested.
In Tennessee - A two-year-old and a five-year-old were put into state
protective custody after they were found in a home Meth lab. Their
24-year-old mother and her 26-year-old boyfriend were arrested.
In Arizona - Four middle school students were hospitalized after ingesting
Meth in school. A 19-year old was arrested in connection to the case.
In
Texas - A two-year-old child found in a home with a Meth lab in a closet
was turned over to Child Protection Services. The mother and father were
arrested. Officers serving a warrant on the man were nearly overcome with
the chemical smells when they opened the door to the home.
In Oregon - A
25-year-old woman was charged for allegedly forcing Meth and sex on a
preteen girl over a five-year period. The victim said the suspect’s two
toddler daughters were present during some of the episodes.
In
Minnesota - A sick, filthy and possibly jaundiced 11-month-old baby was
taken from his mother and placed in the care of child protective services,
after authorities found a trace of Meth in his body. An informant
reported that the child’s 19-year-old mother and the boy's father had been
fighting over a bag of Meth in front of the child. Officers on the scene
of the arrest found the child in filthy conditions. A deputy who started
to change the boy’s diaper discovered a glass baby bottle with what
appeared to be Meth residue, tubing and small plastic bags in the box of
disposable diapers.
In
Kentucky – Three children escaped injury in a Meth lab explosion that
killed their 39-year-old father.
In Maine - A three-year-old girl was placed in protective custody after
police raided a Meth lab based in an apartment. A 25-year-old man and
21-year-old woman were arrested. The child was believed to be the woman’s
daughter. |
