In Arkansas - Three children - ages 1, 4 and 7
- were taken into custody by officials with the state Department of Health
and Human Services and their parents were arrested after police
discovered the couple allegedly manufacturing and using Meth around their
children. Police found what they believe to be a Meth lab in the family's
home.
In
Tennessee
–A 34-year-old woman was arrested for
having six plastic bags of Meth in her car, along with her 9-month old
son. A search of their home turned up several Meth-making components
under the kitchen sink and, under the bathroom sink, a Meth lab itself
with several liquid components being separated out in glass jars. The
9-month-old and his 2-1/2-year-old sister had been present during some of
the cooks. The woman and her boyfriend were charged with aggravated child
abuse charges in addition to Meth-related charges.
In
Texas – Sheriff Deputies found Meth ingredients just feet away from an
outdoor children’s play area. Deputies found all the materials for a Meth
lab inside the home, where a 3-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl lived.
A 42-year-old man was arrested.
In
Kansas - A 12-year-old girl
brought Meth to her middle school and gave it to another student. Police
ended up arresting three adults; the 12-year-old girl was taken into
juvenile custody.
In
Arizona - A 43-year-old man is
accused of supplying Meth to a 12-year-old girl and smoking the drug with
her. The girl’s mother observed the two using the
drug and alerted police. The suspect faces felony charges.
In
Idaho – A 29-year-old mother was charged with injuring her newborn child
by using Meth while pregnant. The infant tested positive for Meth at the
hospital shortly after birth. The mother admitted she used the drug while
she was pregnant. Her other two children have been taken away from the
home.
In Indiana - A
25-year-old woman was arrested and charged with child endangerment and
Meth use. She and her two children were found in a home during a Meth
cook. Two other adults were also arrested.
In
California - Officers executing a search warrant found a child sleeping in
a crib, alone in the house. They also found approximately three and half
ounces of suspected Meth, marijuana packaging materials, a digital scale,
$2,500, and a 45-caliber handgun. The sleeping child and three other
youngsters were placed in protective custody; three adults were arrested.
In
Georgia – A 19-year-old woman is charged with trafficking Meth, possession
of altered ephedrine, child endangerment, possession of a controlled
substance and possession of Meth. Officers found a Meth lab and an infant
in a home that the suspect left shortly before the raid.
In
Arkansas - Police found four adults and two children in an apartment when
they executed a search warrant. They also found Meth, materials used to
make Meth, drug paraphernalia and a small marijuana growing operation.
Two of the adults lived in the apartment. The children were taken into
protective custody.
