MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive
Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project.
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;

Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;

Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

impact Meth use and manufacturing has on children. Dr. Kathryn Wells, current
Medical Director of the Denver Family Crisis Center, is the keynote speaker.
MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will provide information on Drug Endangered
Children (DEC) Teams, and there will be a panel discussion on dealing with
DEC.
This conference is
vital for any professional involved in the identification, investigation or
prosecution of child abuse incidents. Physicians, nurses, counselors,
educators, law enforcement, social services, attorneys and anyone interested in
this subject will benefit from the workshop and discussions.
