Home Site Workers

Delivery people, utility workers, landscaping crews - anyone whose work takes them into neighborhoods, apartment complexes and homes - needs to be aware of possible Meth manufacturing.

Coming across a Meth lab places you in instant danger.  You may be exposed to toxic gases, unstable/explosive chemicals, and chemical fires.  You could experience burns, collapsed lungs, and other injuries associated with contamination and explosions without warning.

Meth scenes are considered toxic waste sites and can cause serious environmental damage to soil, ground water, drinking water, and buildings and structures, quickly contaminating anyone that comes in contact with the waste material.

Learn the signs of a Meth lab, and make an action plan for your response prior to needing it.  Most importantly, remember that you can be exposed to the toxic waste through inhalation or absorption - DO NOT touch anything you believe may be a part of a Meth lab.  Notify your supervisor and law enforcement.  And do not challenge anyone you have reason to suspect is using Meth.
