MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

Did you know?

In South Dakota,
From January through July of 2005, law enforcement:
ö Responded to 16 lab incidents
ö Arrested 409 people in connection with Meth
ö   Seized 7.7 pounds of Meth.

  • For every pound of Meth cooked, five to six pounds of toxic waste are  produced. 

  • One pound of Meth can get 1,816 kids high for twelve
    hours or more. 

  • During one South Dakota drug bust, law enforcement seized 19 pounds of Meth - enough to get 34,504 kids high
    for 12 hours and produce 95 to 114 pounds of toxic waste.
