Tribal Council Requiring
Drug Tests

The Rosebud Sioux Tribal Council is taking huge steps in the fight against Meth.  Members passed a motion requiring all administration officers, tribal council members, Rosebud police, Juvenile Detention officers and Tribal Court employees to take drug tests.  The action took place one week after the Rosebud Sioux Tribal public defender pled not guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute Meth.  The Council is determined to demonstrate their commitment to fighting Meth on the reservation.  Members of the Council also passed a resolution supporting MAPP-SD and its work on the reservation.

The drug test results of the Council members and the administration officers will be made public.
