A South
Dakota House committee replaced a provision in Governor Round’s Meth bill that
was stripped by the Senate last week. The bill, SB 207, would make it tougher
for people to buy some cold and allergy medicines that contain pseudoephedrine
and ephedrine. An amendment to the bill replaced language removed from the
Senate last week that would require retailers to keep a written record of the
identity of everyone who buys products containing pseudoephedrine and ephedrine.
Those records would need to be kept for two years, according to the bill. |
