An abandoned farm near Britton in Marshall County, South Dakota, was the site of a Meth lab bust in early June. Following a tip reporting suspicious items, two county deputies searched the area and found enough evidence to label it a Meth lab. On June 6, agents from South Dakota’s DCI Drug Unit processed the crime scene and a Chemical Clean Up Unit from Fargo worked to remove the hazardous materials. Interviews with neighbors led to one arrest; officers expect more as the investigation continues. This is the first reported Meth lab bust in the northern South Dakota County, although the sheriff’s department reports many arrests for possession or ingestion of the drug.
