Law enforcement discovered
a surprise when they busted a Meth lab in Sibley, Iowa in late February. They
found evidence that the suspects were allegedly using the red phosphorus method
to cook their Meth.
The rarely used red phosphorus method - where strikers are removed from matches,
mixed with iodine and cooked - is more prone to explosions and fires than the
more common anhydrous ammonia method.
No suspects were arrested, and the investigation is continuing.
