MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive
Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project.
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

Increase
awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;
u
Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
West Virginia - Sheriff's deputies were
called to a hospital where a man was left outside with burns. After
investigating, deputies found a Meth lab in and around a camper. One man
was arrested; the burned man was taken to a specialized burn unit at
another hospital.
In
California - Police want child endangerment charges brought
against a couple accused of allowing their two children to live in a
drug-endangered environment - a home in a quiet neighborhood where police
made a major Meth bust. The 8- and 9-year olds are now in protective
custody. The children’s parents and five other people were arrested on a
variety of Meth charges.
