MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive
Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project.
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

Increase
awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;
u
Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
Indiana –
A
29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested after sheriff's deputies
found a home Meth lab. A substantial amount of anhydrous ammonia was among the
items recovered from the home. The two suspects face serious felony charges
because the home is located near a school and park.
In
Oregon - Police arrested two men in connection with buying and selling
Meth. The first man, 44-years-old, was pulled over during a
“high-risk” traffic stop
(one in which officers have their guns drawn). Police had information on who
the driver was, and he was arrested without incident. The second man,
34-years-old, was arrested in a parking lot after leading police on a short foot
chase. Between the two arrests, officers seized about an ounce of Meth.
In
Alabama -
A
43-year-old man was arrested after a routine traffic stop led police to discover
a mobile Meth lab in his car. Officers found crystal Meth and the ingredients
to make more when they searched his car. The man faces charges of Meth
manufacturing and trafficking.
In
Kentucky -
A
44-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested after officers obtained a
search warrant for a home. Police found seven-ounces of crystal Meth in the
search.
