In
California - A 31-year-old woman caught on camera stealing from a man
after he died while the two were having sex pleaded no contest to
possession of Meth. The former exotic dancer was arrested in March after
the victim, a 42-year-old man, died while the two were engaged in a sexual
act.
A
video camera set up in the man's home captured the entire incident on
tape, including images of the suspect and the victim using Meth before
engaging in sex. The camera also captured the woman stealing 4.8 grams of
Meth from the man after he died of cardiac arrest. The woman faces up to
32 months in prison when she is sentenced.
In
Florida - Police discovered a small Meth lab after arresting a
34-year-old man at his home. The suspect had Meth on him when he was
arrested. A 30-year-old woman was also arrested. Children living in the
home were exposed to Meth and were taken into state custody.
In
Louisiana -
A 28-year-old
woman is accused of operating a Meth lab in her mobile home that blew up
and sent three people to the hospital. The woman is charged with
possessing, operating and creating a Meth lab and cruelty to a juvenile.
The explosion and fire inflicted severe burns on three people. A
30-year-old woman was flown to Baton Rouge General Medical Center for
treatment of her burns and was in critical condition. A 32-year-old man
and an 18-year-old woman were taken to a burn treatment unit. The suspect
was on parole after a prior conviction for manufacturing Meth.
In
Utah - Three people were arrested after
police raided a suspected home Meth lab. A child was found in the home at
the time of the raid, police said. When police executed a search warrant
one the apartment, they found the materials commonly used to make Meth. A
confidential informant had told officers a 15-month-old child lived in the
apartment and had been in the lab room while Meth was being cooked. A
40-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife were booked for investigation of
possession of a Meth lab, possession of precursors and child
endangerment. The 20-year-old mother of the toddler was booked for
investigation of child endangerment and possession by consumption after
her urine tested positive for Meth. The baby was placed with the Division
of Child and Family Services.
In
Tennessee -
A 49-year-old father was arrested when
police raided his home and discovered him in the process of cooking Meth –
while his teenaged sons were at home. Police say the suspect was cooking
Meth, using it, and selling it to pay his bills. During the raid, police
found Meth making materials everywhere – including on the kitchen table
and in the bedroom under his mattress. 60 ounces of the chemical mixture
were in the early stages of the cooking process when police arrived. The
teens were placed with relatives, and police started a process to get the
suspect evicted from the house.
In
Indiana -
Two tips led
authorities to a Meth lab. When officers arrived, they smelled a strong
odor of ether. Upon further investigation, police discovered the Meth lab
and precursors for manufacturing. Four adults are under investigation for
involvement with the lab, one is a 24-year-old woman who had her infant
child with her in the lab. The Child Protective Services office was
contacted because of the presence of the infant in the home.
