Police
seized over a pound of Meth after conducting a ‘knock and talk’ investigation.
A County Sheriff's Office had received information from a confidential informant
about drug distribution stemming from a home. Police discovered 1.25 pounds of
Meth as well as a digital gram scale in the home.
In
Missouri - When a fire ignited in the bed of a trash-service truck, workers
looked closely at the debris and then called police. Officers found the makings
of a Meth lab among the garbage. They traced it to a home and obtained a search
warrant. When they entered the residence, they discovered a working Meth lab,
but no one was home.
In
California - The on-duty manager of a fast food restaurant has been arrested
after allegedly selling Meth from the drive-through window. The 29-year-old
woman apparently had developed a routine for supplying buyers. Allegedly,
customers called the woman, and then came to the drive-through, ordered food and
paid for it. The suspect would tell customers to pull around and wait for their
order. She would then go outside with the food and Meth. Police found
five-grams of packaged Meth at the restaurant. Officers searching the suspect’s
home found paraphernalia and arrested three more people on Meth related charges.
In
Arkansas – Authorities running an operation code named January Sweep closed
down two Meth labs in an area commonly referred to as “Meth Mountain”. Police
have not yet released the number of people arrested in the operation.
In
Michigan – A Township Supervisor, who agreed in December to temporarily step
down after being charged with operating a Meth lab in his home, is discussing
with prosecutors a possible plea agreement that could result in a lighter
sentence. The 50-year-old and his 48-year-old wife were both arrested when
officers discovered the lab. They both have been charged with one count of
felony possession of Meth and two felony counts of operating and maintaining a
Meth lab. The woman has also been charged with one count of delivery and
manufacture of Meth.
