MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;

Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
South Dakota –
A
33-year-old man from
Ipswich pleaded guilty to two felony drug charges. He admitted to possessing
both Meth and of fentanyl, a prescription painkiller. In exchange for the
defendant’s guilty plea, the state's attorney agreed to cap his request for
prison time at six years.
In
Florida – Officers from a sheriff's
department raided an alleged home Meth lab. Investigators found 14-grams of
Meth in the house, along with the lab. A 34-year-old woman, the homeowner, was
arrested and charged with trafficking in Meth, manufacturing Meth, possession of
listed chemicals and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. Agents are
looking for the suspect’s 44-year-old husband, who is wanted for the same
charges.
In
Nebraska -
Two
people were charged and another sentenced in federal court on Meth charges. A
51-year–old man received a seven-year sentence for conspiring to distribute Meth
in three counties. A 25-year–old man is charged with dealing more than 500
grams of Meth. He could face up to life in prison and/or a $4 million fine if
he is convicted. And a 41-year–old man is charged with conspiring to distribute
more than 50 grams of Meth.
