MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;

Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
Ohio - Detectives arrested a 24-year-old man who is accused of selling Meth
as one of several dealers in a new drug ring. He is charged with one count of
possession of Meth. Investigators say suspects were receiving Meth shipped in
from out of state using carriers such as UPS and FedEx and then distributed to
local dealers.
In
Oregon - Detectives raided two drug houses, seizing Meth and arresting three
people. At one house, police found more than 3-ounces of Meth and paraphernalia
associated with Meth use. The other home contained small user amounts of Meth,
a rifle and handgun, and drug paraphernalia.
In
Montana - A 48-year old man convicted of trafficking Meth will spend more
than five years in federal prison. He was sentenced to five years and 10 months
in prison, to be served consecutively to a 50-month federal sentence ordered for
illegal re-entry into the United States. He will be deported after completing
his sentences. He admitted he sold 2-ounces of Meth to an undercover officer
for $3,000.
In
Washington – A city police chief says the recent arrest of his brother on
federal drug trafficking charges came as a surprise, but he is not surprised
that the narcotics task force made the arrest. He says, "It doesn't matter who
the person is or who the person is related to…They can't say we're corrupt, can
they?" The brother, 43-years-old, and two other men were swept up in a recent
raid that netted eight pounds of Meth. They were arrested after a raid at the
43-year-old’s auto detailing business.
In
West Virginia -
A high
school teacher's aide was one of three people arrested for conspiracy to operate
a Meth lab. State troopers found a Meth lab at the 28-year-old woman’s home.
