The 34-year-old man and his 33-year-old wife posted a $100,000 bond and were
released. The woman is a teacher. Officers went to their home as part of a
series of raids and found Meth, lab components, rifles, a shotgun and body
armor. Three children, ages 5 to 16, were in the home at the time of the raid.
They were removed from the home for two days, but allowed to return after the
man agreed to live elsewhere. A third man, 32, was also arrested on Meth
charges after police found Meth in his van. He lived in the house with the
couple and the children.
In
Indiana - A
31-year-old man was sentenced to 19 years, seven months in prison for a Meth
trafficking conspiracy. He pleaded guilty to charges of his involvement in a

In
Alabama -
A
45-year-old man was arrested for cooking Meth in his mobile home in what police
describe as a major Meth lab bust. An investigation had raised suspicions about
the suspect’s involvement in Meth. Once officers were inside the home, they
found a filthy interior littered with trash, drug paraphernalia and the
ingredients for making Meth. They also discovered crystal Meth and several
mason jars, coffee pots and other containers filled with liquid Meth. A
bathroom and bedroom had been converted into a labs where investigators found
microwaves, fire extinguishers and numerous canisters of Meth ingredients. The
suspect’s wife lived in the home with him, but it wasn’t clear if they had any
children. So far, the woman has not been charged.
In
Indiana – A federal grand jury indicted 21 people for dealing Meth and money
laundering. DEA agents and State Police units rounded up the suspects when they
executed 10 search warrants. Officers seized more than 8 pounds of Meth,
approximately $40,000 and 7 weapons. Nineteen suspects were indicted on charges
of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of Meth. If
they are convicted, they face between 10 years to life imprisonment. The other
two people are charged with money laundering and face a maximum sentence of 20
years in prison.
In
Texas – A 39-year-old man whose trial on Meth charges was under way
entered a plea of no
contest. He was sentenced to four years in the penitentiary. If the jury had
found him guilty, he faced a sentence of between two and 20 years. He was
arrested after his mother gave officers permission to search a trailer on her
property, and told deputies that she had seen her son "in that location stirring
something in a beaker." Deputies found the materials for a Meth lab and sludge
from nearly 5 grams of Meth. The suspect’ s mother admitted that she had
destroyed two or three other Meth labs at the trailer on earlier occasions. She
had called someone to contact police about her son’s activity in the trailer,
and was set to testify against him in trial.
