In South Dakota An Aberdeen couple faces from ten years to life in prison after pleading guilty to Meth distribution charges.  The 33-year-old man and 23-year-old woman will be sentenced in May.

In Illinois The Chicago Fire Department's Haz-Mat team along with the police bomb and arson unit were called out to a reported home Meth lab.  The initial report was for a woman tied up and a man abusing her. When crews arrived on the scene, they found a woman apparently under the influence.  They also discovered several areas in the house where Meth manufacturing chemicals were being stored.  No injuries or arrests were reported.

In Louisiana A K-9 team doing a routine sweep at a bus station found 250-grams of Meth hidden under a buses’ bathroom trashcan. The Meth was wrapped in two cellophane packages.  Since it could not be traced to a specific passenger, no arrests were made.

In Colorado
Two people were arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of Meth.  Police found more than 11-grams of Meth hidden inside a cigarette pack; they also discovered small plastic bags, a glass pipe and marijuana in the vehicle.

In Kentucky Police arrested a 39-year-old man after finding a possible Meth lab in a home near a high school and middle school.  When officers searched the home, they found four grams of Meth, lab components, morphine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The suspect faces a number of charges, including felony drug trafficking.

In Indiana An elementary school was closed while crews cleaned up a rolling Meth lab in a car stopped in front of the school.  The school was closed as a precaution, and others in the area were opened two hours late. A sheriff's deputy pulled over the car, driven by a 40-year-old man, in the school's driveway around 1:30 in the morning.  A second car, driven by a 42-year-old woman, also pulled up and was held by the deputy.  When the officer searched the man’s car, he found a white powdery substance that the suspect said was Meth.  The deputy searched the woman’s car and discovered a Meth lab; several glass jars and other items.  The two suspects were both arrested.

In Michigan Detectives conducting an investigation searched a suspect's home and found a small amount of what is believed to be Meth, 12 guns and a vehicle allegedly used to deliver Meth.  A second search of the suspect's auto glass business uncovered a functioning Meth lab in a vehicle.  The man was arrested.

In Florida The discovery of an active Meth lab in an apartment forced a partial evacuation of the complex. A husband and wife, both 26-years-old, were arrested and charged with manufacturing Meth, aggravated child abuse, maintaining a drug dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The couple’s three children, 3-, 8- and 11-years-old, were examined at a hospital and placed in the care of the state.  Five people from another apartment also had to be decontaminated and checked at the hospital.  In all, 25 people from the building were evacuated until the search was complete.

In Florida Police arrested a man they describe as a major Meth supplier in central Florida. The 35-year-old was arrested after he was pulled over on a traffic stop.  Police seized 618 grams (more than a pound) of Meth, 318 grams of cocaine, $4,623 in cash and $10,000 worth of gold jewelry from his car.  Information from his arrest led police to his 37-year-old girlfriend. When officers searched her car, they found 443 grams of pure crystal Meth as well as 508 grams of cocaine and 36 grams of crack cocaine.  Both suspects face multiple drug and trafficking counts.

In California Authorities at first believed they were investigating a Meth lab dump full of production refuse.  But they soon uncovered a trench approximately 20 feet long and 3 feet deep to hold plastic and metal cans full of Meth ingredients. Detectives estimated there were enough equipment and chemicals to make 300 pounds of Meth partially buried in the ground and covered with dirt and leaves.  They have not named any suspects in the discovery.

In Illinois A 39-year-old man pleaded guilty to federal charges of planning to distribute Meth.  When he is sentenced in June, he faces a prison term of 5 to 40-years, a fine of up to two million dollars and four-years supervised release.

In Colorado A 47-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman
are being held without bond after being arrested in a Meth bust at a home. They are accused of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and a previous offender possessing a weapon. Officers found more than a pound of Meth, plus handguns, a video surveillance system and thousand of dollars in cash at the home.
