Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;

Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
Ohio A search warrant yielded evidence of a major Meth lab and a 24-year-old
man’s arrest. The suspect is charged with a third-degree felony in connection
with the lab. According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect cooked Meth in a
two-story house, and then put the waste into a nearby trailer in garbage bags.
Three other people in the house at the time of the raid may also face charges.
In
Montana
A passer-by
found an open duffel bag on a front lawn surrounded by several syringes and
called police. Officers suspected it was a mobile Meth lab. When the drug unit
showed up to investigate, a nearby resident told police that a man was hiding
behind the corner of a house watching them. Officers found papers in the bag
with someone’s address. When they investigated the address, they found Meth
manufacturing supplies. The suspect, a 28-year-old man, had disabled the
apartment's ventilation system, preventing air from circulating in the
structure.
An 11-month-old
baby was crawling around the house, exposed to the lab and its ingredients. The
28-year-old man faces Meth charges and felony criminal endangerment charges.
Social workers took custody of the
infant.
In
Missouri A
misdial landed a 41-year-old woman in jail. She accidentally called a wrong
number and asked a police officer for Meth. She was arrested after police
officers sold her a plastic bag of imitation Meth. Apparently, she called the
cell phone of a detective, thinking she dialed a different number. She asked the
officer, a member of the department's drug enforcement unit, to sell her Meth.
He agreed to meet her at a park. He and another detective met a woman at the
designated spot and sold her a plastic bag of imitation Meth for $40,
In
Minnesota
Investigators arrested a 42-year-old man after buying Meth from him several
times. When they arrested him, they seized more than a thousand-dollars worth
of Meth.
In
Michigan State police stopped a speeding driver and ended up making an
arrest for Meth possession.
