MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;

Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
South Carolina Two men, both 26-years-old, were arrested for
manufacturing Meth after the lab waste they dumped at a convenience store
made an employee sick. The employee picked up what he thought was a bag
of trash and then was overcome by fumes. Chemicals in the bag mixed and
discharged a toxic cloud. He was treated at a hospital and released.
Officers traced the lab waste to a mobile home park and the two men. A
search of their homes turned up Meth.
In
West Virginia
A
traffic stop on led state police to a Meth lab. When troopers pulled
over a driver and her passenger, they smelled marijuana in the SUV. After
the woman granted then permission to search, troopers discovered
Meth-making materials and a complete lab in the back of the vehicle. The
woman and man are charged with possession with intent to deliver and
manufacturing Meth.
In
West Virginia
Sheriff's deputies arrested three people on Meth charges after discovering
a Meth lab in a home. The officers were following up a tip phoned in by a
concerned neighbor.
In
Ohio Police evacuated a neighborhood after fining a Meth lab in a home
just feet away from a high school. When officers entered the home, a
Meth cook was in progress. Two men were arrested and charged with
attempting to operate a Meth lab. One was out on bond for related charges
in another county.
