The victim was killed when the other driver, a 26-year-old man, veered into his lane and hit him head-on.  The 26-year-old sustained major injuries in the crash.  Officers found two bags of Meth in his car during their investigation.  He is expected to be in the hospital for at least a week, during which he will be under around-the-clock security.  When he is released, he will be charged with felony DUI, felony manslaughter, and felony drug possession and sales.

In Iowa
A 35-year-old man faces several charges after officers found an alleged Meth lab in his apartment. He was arrested after a neighbor called in a report of a suspicious smell coming from an apartment within a house.  Officers found ether and other chemicals for Meth manufacturing in the apartment, so they evacuated the people living in the other apartments in the house.  The suspect will be charged with counts of Meth possession and felony charges of possessing the materials to make Meth.  He already faces a charge of violating parole; he was on parole after serving a prison sentence for conspiracy to manufacture Meth in 2000. He also served time in 1997 for Meth possession with the intent to deliver.

In West Virginia Officers arrested two men, 52- and 34-years old, on charges of attempting to manufacture Meth.  Police say the men were buying thousands of nasal pills, and have linked them with a major Meth lab.

In Oregon A 46-year-old man was arrested when n
arcotics officers allegedly found packaged Meth in his mobile home.  Officers also found scales and packaging materials in the home.  A 45-year-old woman who was in the home was arrested on suspicion of Meth possession.

In Ohio Deputies executing a search warrant turned up a sizable amount of chemicals and other paraphernalia in a home.  A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with manufacturing drugs and illegal assembly or possession of the chemicals to manufacture drugs.  A 41-year-old man who also lived in the home was arrested and charged with felonious assault on a police officer.  He drove his car at the sheriff and deputies at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner.  One deputy was nearly run over.
