In South Dakota A 40-year-old Sioux Falls woman is charged with smuggling Meth into the women's prison at Pierre.  She allegedly gave the Meth to her 25-year-old daughter, who is serving time in the prison.  The younger woman tested positive for Meth after her mother’s visit last August.  The inmate has already pleaded guilty to distributing Meth to another prisoner.  The older woman faces three felony drug charges in connection to the case.

In Texas A routine traffic stop ended with the arrest of an elementary teacher for Meth possession.  The 34-year-old woman was a passenger in a car pulled over for a violation.  Drug dogs alerted officers to the presence of narcotics.  A search turned up 15-grams of Meth in the car and on the 29-year-old driver.  Both were charged with Meth possession, and face up to 20-years in prison if they are convicted.

West Virginia A 36-year-old man faces felony charges of running a Meth lab and Meth possession with intent to deliver.  He was also charged with misdemeanor battery and shoplifting.

In Idaho Officers found 25-ounces of Meth and arrested a 30-year-old man.  Authorities are not saying if the suspect is connected to an earlier bust that ended with 11 people arrested on Meth dealing charges.

In Michigan
An early morning house fire led to the discovery of a potential Meth lab in an apartment building.  Neighbors woke up to the sounds of shattering glass and the stench of acid and smoke.  Two people inside put out a small fire that investigators believe was the result of cooking Meth.  12 apartments were evacuated as a precautionary measure while officials searched for more Meth toxins.   They did find several bottles of chemicals inside the apartment, and more remnants of a Meth lab in a dumpster – where people were reportedly running to throw things away at the time of the fire. They have not arrested anyone yet, but have brought two people in for questioning.

In Texas A 39-year-old man was sentenced to just over 11-years in prison after being convicted on Meth charges.  He is one of nine defendants connected to a multi-state Meth ring.  He worked along with another man, 35-years-old, supplying more than 1.2 kilograms of Meth to dealers.  The ring used Federal Express for some of their dealings.  Other times, dealers would travel to the suppliers to pick up the Meth.

In Michigan A 42-year-old "soccer mom" was sentenced to a year in jail, minus time served, after pleading guilty to Meth charges.  She will spend about six more months in jail, and then serve three-years probation.  She pled guilty to all three charges against her, which included operating a Meth lab, delivery and possession.  She was charged after being pulled over for a vehicle registration violation.  Police found a mobile Meth lab in a cooler bag in the trunk of her car.  She has two children, 23- and 14-years-old.

In California A
parolee who was pulled over for a routine traffic stop was arrested for alleged Meth possession and a loaded firearm.  The 31-year-old man was stopped when an officer noticed his pickup truck had an obstructed license plate.  The driver consented to a probation search of his truck, and the officer found a loaded .22 caliber revolver underneath the driver's seat, as well as a drug pipe and Meth.

In Michigan The former township supervisor and his wife who pleaded guilty to possession of Meth were both sentenced.  The man received a sentence of 30-days in county jail, and his driver's license was suspended for six months. He's also banned from drugs and alcohol, must submit to drug testing and substance abuse counseling.  His wife was sentenced to 60-days in jail and two years on probation.  Investigators say the couple ran a fairly sophisticated Meth operation in their home. Their 14-year-old daughter also lived in the home.

In Virginia
Police found Meth and a “significant amount” of cash after a dog alerted them to the possible presence of drugs during a traffic stop.  The suspect, a 41-year-old man, was originally pulled over for a broken windshield.  He is charged with felony possession of Meth.
