In Iowa Police announced a number of arrests and Meth-related charges made over the past few days.  A 37-year-old man is charged with Meth delivery and conspiracy.  Officers allege he dealt Meth within 1000 feet of a city park.  A 36-year-old man faces the same charges, related to a separate case.  A 28-year-old woman is charged with conspiracy to deliver Meth, possession of Meth and drug paraphernalia. A 39-year-old woman is charged with two counts of delivery of Meth, with one count occurring near a city park.  She was in jail on other drug-related charges when the latest charges were filed.  A 19-year-old man is also charged with two counts of delivery of Meth, with one count occurring near a city park.

In Wisconsin A 47-year-old man, charged with Meth manufacturing, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of felony bail jumping, was back in court.  He was arrested outside a motel after a search of his apartment allegedly turned up items consistent with Meth manufacturing.  He had been released on $40,000 cash bail in March, but a search warrant executed on property where he sometimes lived led to evidence he had again allegedly cooked Meth and was wanted for felony bail jumping.  He did show up for a scheduled preliminary examination, and with probable cause found in the charges, the judge ordered the defendant to forfeit $20,000 of his $40,000 cash bail. He will next have an arraignment hearing.

In Michigan Officers executing a search warrant found about a pound of crystal Meth in a suspect’s home.  The 48-year-old man is charged with Meth possession with intent to deliver, possession of Meth, possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

In Alabama A 31-year-old man who was arrested on Meth-related charges now faces more charges after authorities found a large amount of drugs at his home.  Local and federal officers seized 10-ounces of Meth and two-ounces of cocaine when they executed a search warrant on the suspect’s mobile home.  They also found evidence that indicated the home was used to process Meth. The suspect was arrested in another county earlier in the week with 1.5-pounds of Meth and three ounces of cocaine. He was already charged with trafficking both Meth and cocaine; he will now face additional trafficking charges in his home county.

In Minnesota
An attorney for an admitted Meth dealer asked the court to allow his client to get treatment instead of serving jail time.  The 55-year-old man was sentenced to nearly six years in prison after pleading guilty to felony second-degree drug crime, with credit for about 240 days served.  The judge pointed out that the defendant has not just been a drug user but also a drug dealer who had served an earlier prison sentence for a similar crime. The defendant sold Meth at his home to an informant for local authorities.  He was one of four people arrested for Meth-related charges after officers raided his home, and the only one sentenced to prison.
