MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In California - Officers conducting drug surveillance spotted a pickup with expired registration tags and stopped the truck.  The driver, a 22-year-old man, and his passenger, a 27-year-old man, were detained while police searched the truck.  Officers found Meth, a scale and packaging materials.  They discovered that the passenger had a motel key and was on probation, which allowed officers to search his room immediately.  In the motel room, they found 570 grams of Meth and a pound of a material used in make more.  Both men were arrested on drug charges.

In Indiana – Police who served warrants on a 21-year-old man ended up adding new Meth-related charges.  When they searched his backpack, police found what appeared to be a Meth lab.

In Iowa - The 50-year-old doctor who was arrested for Meth and firearms possession earlier this month has had his medical license suspended.  He was arrested after officers discovered nearly $1 million worth of ice Meth in his vehicle, his home and a neighbor's house where he allegedly was stashing the drug while the owner was gone.  He could face up to 175 years in prison if convicted on all charges filed against him.
