In
California - Seven adults were arrested after a two-month investigation into
Meth trafficking. Officers seized 3.5 pounds of Meth, four vehicles and more
than $23,000 in cash. Two children were placed in protective custody
In
New Mexico - Police arrested a 45-year-old man accused of trafficking Meth,
more than two months after narcotics agents allegedly first discovered a large
quantity of it in his home. He was picked up on an arrest warrant that resulted
from a police search of his home on March 7, when undercover agents turned up a
large quantity of Meth and items for distribution. The suspect
faces a
second-degree felony charge for trafficking Meth and a misdemeanor charge for
possession of paraphernalia.
In
Tennessee – Investigators are trying to find out how dumped dozens of bags
holding Meth contaminated garbage near a downtown courthouse. The hazardous
waste was found in a container used to hold scraps from a remodeling project.
Officers are looking to see if the dumper also left an evidence trail.
In
California -
Topping the DEA’s most wanted list is a 47-year-old woman who was involved in a
complex conspiracy to manufacture Meth. Agents consider her the drug 'queenpin'
behind five operational Meth houses, saying she was responsible for getting the
necessary chemicals and supplying them to Meth producers. The DEA began
building the case against her back in 1998. The agency has already arrested
fourteen others in her cartel, including her husband. He was convicted and
sentenced to eight years in prison.
In
Missouri – After months of investigation, police arrested four suspects in a
raid on a Meth lab. The two men, 36- and 35-years-old, and two women, 51- and
30-years-old, all apparently lived in the home. They face a range of charges,
including Meth possession, distribution and possessing materials to manufacture.
