MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive
Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project.
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

Increase
awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;
u
Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
Washington - Sheriff's
deputies conducting a "knock and talk" after receiving tips about unusual
activity ended up busting a Meth lab. They found enough supplies to produce
about 1.5 ounces of Meth. A man and woman, both 27-years-old, were arrested on
charges of Meth manufacturing. A six-year-old and a three-year-old were taken
from the home and turned over to Child Protective Services. Officials say the
children did not belong to the suspects, and an investigation was started to
find their parents.
In
Colorado - A 30-year-old man, accused of selling Meth to undercover officers
three times, is charged with distributing Meth. He was allegedly selling Meth
and collecting drug debts out of an apartment.
