In Illinois - A 63-year-old man was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Meth charges.  He earlier pleaded guilty to possessing of Meth precursors. His sentence was enhanced because he had two prior Meth-related convictions in 2002 and 2003.  He was arrested after police investigated an anonymous tip that Meth was being cooked in an apartment.  When officers searched the location, they found all the components for a Meth lab, along with nearly 28-grams of liquid Meth.

In Ohio - A 24-year-old woman faces charges of Meth manufacturing after sheriff's deputies discovered her Meth lab in a house trailer.

In Rhode Island - A man was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for conspiring to manufacture Meth in a shed on his friend’s property.  He pleaded guilty to federal Meth charges in February.  Officers seized 16 pint bottles of iodine inside his friend’s home and a package of phosphorus underneath a bed, plus 120 capsules of ephedrine and other chemicals from a shed outside the house.

In California - A man convicted of killing one friend and seriously injuring another by shooting each in the face after a four-day Meth binge received a sentence of life in prison.  The victims were both 16-years-old.  The 27-year-old had fled to Mexico after the shootings seven years ago; he was arrested there while trying to commit a robbery with the murder weapon.  He was extradited to the United States after serving five years in a Mexican prison.

In Oregon - Police seized two pounds of Meth during a traffic stop after a long investigation into Meth trafficking.  Officers pulled over a car driven by a 22-year-old man believed to be transporting Meth from California to Washington.  A drug dog alerted the officers to the car's backseat, where two pounds of Meth was found. The suspect faces charges of possession, manufacture and delivery of Meth and suspicion of being in the country illegally.

In California - Two women face felony child endangerment charges after a 1½-year-old boy drank bong water laced with Meth.  The child’s 25-year-old mother and 27-year-old aunt are not facing drug charges, because a search of their homes didn’t turn up any illegal substances.  But their seven children have all been placed in protective custody.

In Ohio – Officers raided a farm and found evidence of Meth production, ammunition and guns. The action was the result of months of investigation into drug activity on the property.  The property owner, a 41-year-old man, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and also was charged with Meth manufacturing.

In Alabama – A 34-year-old father was arrested for allegedly owning a Meth lab.  His 3-year-old daughter lived with him, and authorities are concerned that she may have been exposed to the Meth lab.  Officers found the remnants of the lab in the shed with the nickname, “Crack Shack”, which was even labeled on a chemical tank (along with the suspect’s name).  The suspect denies cooking Meth or putting his daughter in danger.  She has been placed with a relative.
