MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In Alabama - A 43-year-old man was arrested in connection with Meth manufacturing after a sheriff's deputy pulled him over for having improper tags. The deputy searched the car and found the Meth lab components.  That led to a search of the suspect’s home, where they discovered more Meth lab components.

In California - An eight-month investigation into the distribution of Meth and weapons ended with the arrest of seven suspects.  Fifteen people were at a house when officers executed a search warrant.  Police seized more than an ounce of Meth along with evidence of Meth use and a .38 caliber handgun.  The suspects face a range of charges, from selling Meth to parole violations to Meth possession.

In Idaho - Police shut down an alleged Meth lab operating less than a block from a high school.  Officers spotted the lab while attempting to arrest a 30-year-old wanted in connection to another case. They found him working in a Meth lab set up in a garage.  The suspect tried to barricade himself in the home's attic but was eventually arrested.  Three other people in the home at the time were also arrested and charged with frequenting a place where drugs are used. 

In California – A sheriff’s deputy pulled a driver over for a routine traffic violation, but then discovered the 43-year-old man was carrying a small amount of Meth.  The suspect was arrested on drug charges.

In West Virginia - A domestic disturbance call for help led to a Meth lab bust.  The 43-year-old man left the home before officers arrived, but when they caught up to him, the suspect had Meth manufacturing materials in his car.  He was arrested, along with a 27-year-old male passenger, on charges of attempting to manufacture Meth.

In California – A professional heavyweight wrestler faces a $1,000 fine and a six-month suspension after testing positive for Meth.  He was checked for substances after losing a match.  He has 60 days to appeal the fine and suspension.
