In Hawaii - Autopsy results show that legendary singer Don Ho's daughter died of an accidental Meth overdose – with toxic levels of the drug in her system. The 52-year-old woman died less than a week after her father’s funeral, after she was found unresponsive at the home of a friend.  She is survived by her two children, 21- and 11-years old.

In South Korea - A South Korean prosecutor recommended two Philippine wives of American Soldiers be sentenced to five years in prison for allegedly helping smuggle Meth into the country by mail and then using it.  Neither woman has been convicted.  They are accused of receiving a package with 15.1 grams of Meth hidden in slippers. They deny any knowledge of the contents of the package, claiming that two Philippine men needed someone to sign for the package and have an address for delivery.  The two men live and work in South Korea but have no apparent connection to the U.S. military.  During court testimony, the men gave differing versions of how the women were involved in getting the package, and of the events leading up to the arrest of all four later that morning. One of the women, who is eight months pregnant, has admitted to using drugs in South Korea.  The other has admitted to using drugs in the past but not in South Korea.  The prosecutor said hair tests showed one might have used drugs in March, when the package arrived. All four will be sentenced on June 29.

In California – A 19-year-old man who committed suicide in March had Meth, alcohol and amphetamine in his blood at the time of his death.  The levels were not considered toxic.  He was the second known suicide in the county this year with detectable Meth in his system.
