MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In New York - Authorities busted a home Meth lab after an investigation into drug activity.  A 47-year-old man faces charges of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.  When officers executed a search warrant at the home, they found Meth, marijuana, several firearms and other contraband.

In Texas -
A former county sheriff’s deputy says his addiction to Meth led him into a life of crime. The man and his son were arrested and charged in a string of burglaries.  Authorities allege the two broke into several storage units in at least two different towns.  The father says his Meth addiction was costing him $1,500 a week.

In Indiana - A 43-year-old woman was sentenced to 30 years in prison for making Meth.  She was convicted in May on the Class A felony charge of manufacturing Meth.  After serving her prison sentence, she will have to complete five years of work release and five years of probation.  When she was arrested in 2005, police found a Meth lab in her home – as well as children.
