South Dakota –A 45-year-old man who
skipped out on a trial in February 2006 was caught in Ohio. The fugitive
was charged after running from officers during a Meth bust at his home in
2004. Someone posted bond for him the day before his trial was scheduled
to start, and he disappeared. U.S. Marshals picked him up in Ohio after
coworkers told authorities he was bragging about his fugitive status. He
will be held in jail without bond until his September trial begins. In Oklahoma – Authorities are releasing more information about the suspects injured in an apparent Meth lab explosion and fire. The three people drove themselves to a hospital for treatment, triggering the investigation into the lab. A 24-year-old woman was taken to a burn center with burns to 100% of her body. Two men, 26- and 23-years-old, received burns to 60% of their bodies. In Ohio - A 32-year-old man charged with operating a Meth lab in the attic of his home was sentenced to three years in prison and fined $7,500. He was earlier found guilty of illegal manufacture of drugs and of child endangering. Two children were living in the house at the time of the raid. In
West Virginia – Police arrested five people after busting a home Meth
lab. Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a tip when they found the lab
in a trailer home. All five suspects are charged with felony attempt to
operate a clandestine lab. The county is planning to condemn the
