In California - A 36-year-old man who was stopped by deputies in a bicycle enforcement check showed signs of being under the influence of drugs.  When deputies put him in back of a patrol car, they saw a clear plastic bag next to the suspect’s foot, with a substance that later tested positive for Meth.

In New York - Two boys, both 16-years-old, were arrested on allegations they were cooking Meth.  State police officers raided one of the suspect’s homes and reportedly found the equipment, chemicals and other materials to make Meth.  Officers also found a homemade gun and a marijuana plant.  The two teens are charged with unlawful manufacturing of Meth, possessing a weapon and growing cannabis.

In Alabama – After a month-long investigation, authorities busted an underground Meth-making network and one suspect. When they executed a search warrant at the home, they first found drug paraphernalia.  They continued their search and in an underground storm shelter outside the house, they found what they believe to be the largest Meth lab ever discovered in the county. In a room approximately 10' x 10' in dimension, the lab took up nearly all the room.  It held, among other items, three one-gallon jars of nearly complete Meth.  In another room of the shelter, officers found nearly a dozen 55-gallon drums, 9 contained a sludge-like liquid believed to be waste by-products.   They also found and seized approximately 30 guns (rifles, handguns, shotguns), $1,500 cash, and the makings of a pipe bomb.  The homeowner, a 52-year-old man, was arrested and is so far charged with second degree manufacturing, unlawful possession of controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.   Additional federal charges are possible.

In Georgia - A police chase came to an abrupt end when two adults allegedly stopped and ran, leaving behind a car full of guns and ammunition, bags full of Meth - and two little boys.  The 21-year-old mother of the children, 1- and 2-years-old, and a 29-year-old man were caught and arrested on charges of Meth trafficking, firearms possession, possession of a stolen car, and a number of other charges. Officers found 20 firearms, including handguns, rifles and assault rifles, in the trunk of the stolen car.  They also discovered bulletproof vests, handcuffs, leg irons and shackles, a police scanner and an assortment of tablets.  The woman had a blue bulletproof vest to match her purse.  The two boys were not hurt in the three-mile chase, and were turned over to relatives.  The investigation into the two’s suspected Meth activities stemmed from an earlier arrest of two men, 36- and 26-years old, caught making a drug sale.  When they were arrested, officers found 28.5 grams of Meth and concealed weapons.  Those suspects directed the officers’ attention to the man and woman.
