MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In Kentucky - A Department of Fish and Wildlife officer noticed the smell of ammonia in the air while he was investigating an abandoned vehicle and called for State Police officers to check it out.  They followed a path into the woods and found an abandoned trailer being used as a Meth lab.  A 39-year-old man showed up and after questioning was arrested on multiple charges, including manufacturing and possession of Meth.

In Pennsylvania – A 35-year old man was arrested after police raided his mobile home and found a Meth lab in the basement.  He faces two counts of Meth manufacturing and possession, three counts of conspiracy, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.   He lived in the home with his wife and his daughters, 13- and 12-years-old.  A 37-year-old man, also living in the home, was arrested on three counts of conspiracy, as was a 38-year-old man who lived in a separate house.  Officers found the alleged Meth lab, as well as processed Meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the basement of the home. 

In Tennessee - A county grand jury indicted three men on Meth charges.  A 44-year old was indicted for Meth manufacturing after a deputy allegedly found lab components in a shed on the suspect’s property.  A 34-year old man was indicted for attempting to manufacture Meth and possession of drug paraphernalia following his arrest inside a camper.  An officer allegedly found Meth lab components both inside and outside the camper.  And in a third case, a 29-year-old man was indicted for possession of Meth and marijuana.  He had been pulled over for speeding and gave the deputy permission to search his car.  The officer reportedly found a corner of a plastic bag containing Meth inside the suspect’s pocket and a bag of marijuana fell out of his pants leg when he got out of the vehicle.

In Kentucky - Two men were arrested after police allegedly found ingredients for making Meth in their car.  The two, 41- and 33-years old, are charged with unlawful possession of precursors to Meth.

In Michigan – A 37-year-old man received a sentence of seven months in a county jail and three years probation after pleading no contest to operation of a Meth lab. He could have received a prison sentence of a maximum 10-years.
