In Washington – A 25-year-old man who supplied a woman with at least two pounds of Meth was sentenced to 10-years in prison. He was convicted of conspiracy to distribute Meth. He was arrested after he delivered two pounds of Meth, hidden inside a cereal box, to the woman. The woman is serving six years in prison for drug possession. In Minnesota - A 29-year-old woman charged in connection with a Meth lab bust in June pleaded guilty to first-degree controlled substance crime. She was originally charged with six felonies and one petty misdemeanor, but under the plea agreement, all the other charges were dismissed. She will be sentenced in October. In Georgia - One of three brothers indicted in a major Meth bust pleaded guilty. The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of more than 500 grams of Meth with intent to distribute and conspiracy to manufacture marijuana. His two brothers, 26- and 22-years old, were indicted but never found. Authorities seized 341 pounds of Meth in the defendant’s home in August of 2006. They also found 300 marijuana plants. He faces 10 years to life when he is sentenced. In
Wisconsin - Two men were sentenced to probation for their roles in a Meth
lab discovered in a motel last December. A 48-year-old was convicted of
manufacturing and delivering Meth; the judge withheld his sentence and placed
him on probation for five years and nine months of conditional jail time. A
30-year-old was convicted of knowingly possessing Meth waste. His sentence was
also withheld and the judge placed him on probation for three years and ordered
him to serve one year of conditional jail time. In June, a 39-year-old woman
arrested in the same bust was sentenced to three years, six months in prison
followed by four years, six months of extended supervision for manufacturing and
delivering Meth. |
