In
Ohio - A one-vehicle car crash led to the discovery of a potential
Meth lab when chemicals and other items spilled out of the car upon
impact. The driver crashed into a tree, and Meth manufacturing chemicals
flew out the car’s window, the trunk popped open, revealing pills and
instruments to manufacture Meth. Officers then searched the vehicle and
discovered a loaded gun. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital
for treatment; the passenger was taken to jail. Police plan to charge the
pair with illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs, drug abuse
and improper handling of a handgun in a motor vehicle.
In
Indiana -
An officer out on patrol smelled ether and anhydrous ammonia. He tracked
the odors to a private property and got a search warrant. Officers
pinpointed the source of the smell to the garage of the home. Inside the
garage, police discovered a working Meth lab and 15-grams of finished
Meth. The homeowner, a 41-year-old man, and a 47-year-old man were found
in the garage and arrested. The homeowner faces multiple felony counts
including manufacturing and dealing Meth; possession of anhydrous ammonia
while in possession of a firearm; possession of Meth while in possession
of a firearm and more. The other suspect faces a felony charge of
possession of Meth over 3 grams.
