In British Columbia, Canada A business’ employee inadvertently discovered a Meth lab dump site after handling suspicious trash left in the company’s dumpster. The worker received minor injuries, but was treated and released from a hospital. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police determined the materials in the trash appeared to be consistent with those used in a Meth lab.  Although they have cleaned up the area and disposed of the hazardous materials, they do not have any suspects in the case.

In Mississippi – Police arrested three men in connection with a large Meth dumpsite. A property owner had called officers when he found the lab waste.  Now, the owner’s 18-year-old son, along with a 31-year-old and a 30-year-old, has been picked up on charges including Meth manufacturing and possession, weapon violations and conspiracy.

In West Virginia - A 34-year-old man was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison in federal court for possessing pseudoephedrine with the intent to make Meth. He pleaded guilty to the charges in February.

In Georgia
A 66-year-old man and his 36-year-old son were arrested during raids on some homes suspected in Meth cases.  The older man is charged with trafficking Meth, attempting to manufacture Meth and possession of a stolen firearm.  His son faces charges of possession with intent to distribute Meth.  During the investigation, officers seized some Meth and several firearms.  A 14-year-old girl was placed in emergency protective custody.

In New Zealand – Seven people were arrested after police discovered a home Meth lab while executing a search warrant.  Two women, 21- and 18-years old, and five men ranging in age from 18 and 22 face various Meth-related charges.

In California - Police found a lot more than they expected when they went to a house to follow up a report of a suspicious person. No one answered when officers knocked on the door, so they went in through an unlocked door.  They found containers on the floor that tested positive for acetone.  Further investigation turned up more than 90 items in the house used to make Meth, plus 17-pounds of dry Meth ready for distribution and 3-gallons of liquid Meth. While the officers were searching the home, a car drove up but sped away when the driver spotted a police car.  Police caught up with the car and questioned the driver.  They eventually arrested the 35-year-old man on suspicion of Meth manufacturing.  Police found evidence connected to the Meth lab in his car and keys that fit the house and garage.

In Florida – A 27-year old man who was on probation for Meth-related charges was arrested on a number of new charges after police executed a search warrant at his home.  The suspect was actually cooking Meth when officers served the warrant.  He is now charged with attempting to manufacture Meth, possession of listed chemicals and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.  A 15-year-old boy who was also in the home during the raid was also arrested and charged with possession of Meth and drug paraphernalia.
