In
West Virginia - Police arrested a man and woman at a remote, wooded
campsite on Meth manufacturing charges. Deputies investigating
information from a tip found the two suspects in tents with the materials
to cook Meth. Officers believe the couple had been living in the tents
for "some time."
In
California - Two undocumented immigrants were arrested after
authorities raided their home and found pounds of Meth and heroin.
Officers seized about 2.3 pounds of heroin, .65 pounds of Meth, three
firearms, and over $15,000 in cash. The 62-year-old man and 19-year-old
woman were arrested on charges of possession of heroin and Meth for sale
and are being held as undocumented immigrants. A child in the home was
placed in protective custody.
In
Oregon - Police evacuated residents of an apartment building after
finding a suspected Meth lab. One tenant was questioned about the
potential lab but was not arrested at the time.
In
Texas -
A traffic stop led to the arrest of a former police officer for possession
of Meth. The 44-year-old man was first stopped after reports of erratic
driving. A canine unit alerted officers to the presence of drugs.
Officers searched the car and found more than four-grams of Meth in the
center console, and other bags with trace mounts of Meth.
In
West Virginia - A 24-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected
connection with a Meth lab. She had been serving a home confinement
sentence for a probation violation when officers went to her home to
follow up on a tip. They reportedly discovered a Meth lab in the home.
The suspect is charged with operating a clandestine lab, exposure of
children to Meth manufacturing and exposure of first responders to Meth
manufacturing. The woman’s five-year-old daughter had been in the home
earlier that day.
In
Oregon - Police arrested a 49-year-old woman accused of selling Meth.
When police searched her home, they allegedly found more than 4-grams of
Meth and packaging material. A 64-year-old man was also arrested in the
home on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
In
Kansas – Police arrested two men after a short chase and the discovery
of a mobile Meth lab. Officers received assistance from a citizen who
called in about a suspicious vehicle, and then followed the car until
police arrived to take over the pursuit. When the car was finally stopped
by a tire deflation device, officers found the two men, 28- and
27-years-old, in possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved
container, believed to be stolen. Investigators searched two separate
locations related to the chase and found more components for making Meth
as well as freshly manufactured Meth. They seized about 12-grams of Meth.
In
Colorado - Six people were arrested in a raid on a home known in the
neighborhood as a drug den. The suspects, men and women ranging in age
from 31 to 54 years old face a range of charges including possession,
distribution, manufacturing and sale of controlled substances. Among the
evidence police seized in the raid was some Meth hidden in a bicycle tire
in the garage. Officers were able to build a case against the residents
of the home by stopping a number of cars seen leaving the property on
traffic violations and discovering the occupants were in possession of
Meth.
In
Oregon - Police were called to a suspected drug house 44 times in
response to citizens’ complaints and requests within the last year. Now,
fire destroyed the house in a blaze suspected to have been arson. Police
had been to the home just six hours earlier to serve several restraining
orders to multiple people. The home and contents were ruled a total loss,
but no one was inside the structure when firefighters arrived.
Investigators don't know what exactly sparked the fire, but a neighbor
said she heard multiple explosions before the blaze started. Deputies said
the home was reported to contain a Meth operation.
In
Florida – Firefighters cut an eight-foot by eight-foot hole in the
roof of a home to assess the materials located inside the attic after
police determined a Meth lab was probably located there. A special
operations team used a camera lowered through the hole to view the
suspected lab, in an effort to cut down on exposure to the chemicals. Two
people were arrested in the morning raid – one was arrested earlier this
year for running a Meth lab in a different location.
In
California - Narcotics agents targeting gang members seized a pound of
Meth and $10,000 in cash while arresting four men in two different homes.
Officers executing the search warrants arrested the men on suspicion of
selling Meth.
