awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;

Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
West Virginia –
Two men and
one woman were arrested on Meth manufacturing charges. Officers say the three
admitted to buying large quantities of pseudoephedrine from a number of
pharmacies. Police reportedly found disassembled Meth labs at the two homes.
In
Indiana – Concerned neighbors are credited for
helping bust a Meth lab. Police received reports of a strong chemical smell
around the home and people coming and going at odd hours. When police executed
a search warrant at the house, they were not expecting to find the lab where
they did – they say the suspect was keeping most of his Meth manufacturing
materials inside his 11-year-old daughter's bedroom. The suspect was arrested
but released on bond. His children are staying with relatives.
In
Kentucky - A
woman was taken to a hospital for treatment after being burned by chemicals in a
home Meth lab. She told police that a man who was staying with her had the
hazardous materials in her home, and that she came in contact with them when
they spilled.
In
Georgia -
A man and a
woman were arrested on Meth manufacturing charges when deputies noticed a strong
smell of chemicals at their home. The two are charged with attempting to
manufacture Meth, and officers believe they were making it for distribution. A
six-year-old girl was in the home at the time of the raid and was placed in
protective custody.
