MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In West Virginia – Two men and a woman were arrested on fugitive of justice charges related to Meth.  They each admitted to buying large quantities of pseudoephedrine from pharmacies in both West Virginia and Ohio for Meth manufacturing.  They were tracked through logs kept by retailers as required by the law.  When officers served the arrest warrants, they found two Meth labs at different locations.  The three suspects will face charges in Ohio.

In Virginia - Five people were arrested on federal charges of conspiracy to distribute Meth after a yearlong investigation.  The investigation turned up evidence of a ring that brought more than 10-pounds of Meth to the area.

In Florida - A 32-year-old man and his 25-year-old girlfriend were arrested at a home by officers investigating pseudoephedrine purchases.  Police found close to 1000 grams of Meth oil in four jars in the home along with all of the ingredients needed for a mass production Meth lab, as well as hand made weapons.  The couple is charged with attempted manufacture and trafficking of Meth.

In Kansas - A 42-year-old woman was sentenced to four years in prison for her role in a scheme to manufacture Meth.  She was convicted of aiding and abetting in the manufacture of a controlled substance after buying pseudoephedrine pills for cooking Meth.  Four other people involved in the scheme were also convicted and will be sentenced over the next two months.

In North Carolina - Sheriff’s deputies and police arrested a 32-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman on Meth trafficking charges.  The officers seized 201.6 grams of Meth, a vehicle and cash during the investigation.  The suspects both face charges of conspiracy to traffic Meth, trafficking Meth and child abuse.

In Michigan – Motel cleaning staff found the remnants of a Meth lab in a room after the guest checked out and called authorities.  Officers are tracking the whereabouts of the former guest, a 33-year-old man.  If he is convicted of the Meth lab charges, he faces up to 20-years in prison.
