In Michigan - A couple was arrested after officers seized about 26 grams of crystal Meth from their apartment. Agents served a search warrant at the apartment and found Meth packaged for sale, scales, packaging material, paraphernalia, prescription medication and a billy-club-type weapon.  The 53-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife were arrested on suspicion of possession of Meth for sale as well as various other charges.

In Washington -
A 21-year-old man received a six-year prison sentence for his part in a Meth-fueled burglary spree in spring 2006.  In all, 66 homes and businesses were victimized.  As part of a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to 23 counts of burglary and attempted burglary.  His partner, a 19-year-old man, pleaded guilty to five charges, including burglary and Meth possession.  He was sentenced to 50-months in prison.   The two suspects were described as ‘heavily addicted’ to Meth.

In Arizona - A woman believed to have been running a major Meth organization was sentenced to five years in prison to be followed by four years of probation.  The 51-year-old, along with a 50-year-old man, was believed to have controlled a major Meth ring for more than a year.  The organization was brought down after detectives began taking a closer look at a number of repeat drug offenders and came across the couple.  The woman was arrested after a routine traffic stop turned up several bags of Meth and cocaine in her car.  During the investigation, a federal agent found a ledger with a list of seven months of drug transactions – showing the woman sold more than 20 pounds of Meth for cash, tools, guns, cars and other property.  In all, 41-people were indicted in the case.  The man was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of 22 felony charges.  The woman had pleaded guilty to 16 felony charges immediately after opening statements in her trial.

In Alabama - Deputies discovered a Meth lab while they were searching for two men who allegedly burglarized a radio station transmitter.  The two reportedly tried to steal copper from the transmitter, knocking the radio station off the air. The suspects fled the scene when a technician showed up to examine the transmitter.  The suspects shot at the technician and rammed his vehicle with theirs before escaping the area.  Deputies traced the ownership of the van to a couple’s home, where they found a Meth lab and some stolen items.  Deputies arrested three people on charges of loitering in a drug house. Other charges are pending, and deputies are still searching to the suspects in the copper theft.

In California – Two 23-year-old men, known as criminal street gang members, were arrested on charges of Meth possession, Meth possession for sale, conspiracy and a gang enhancement.  One was also charged with parole violation.  They
were arrested at one their homes after a parole search turned up a large amount of cash on one man and a digital scale with white residue on it in the other’s pocket.  Officers seized about 20 grams of Meth.
