MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In Tennessee - Police responding to a report of a suspicious package at a ball field found a Meth lab.  Officers found the package just a few feet from a ball field in a wooded area.  Some parts of the lab were outside of the package.  A Hazmat team cleaned up the site and police are investigating a suspect.

In Michigan – Police arrested six people when a raid turned up an active Meth lab in a home.  The officers executed a search warrant on the residence after getting tips about Meth manufacturing.  State troopers raided a second home after learning of another Meth lab and arrested one person.

In Missouri – Police seized a red phosphorus Meth lab in a home and arrested the 44-year-old man who lived there.  Officers were following up on information that a man had been buying a large amount of 7% liquid iodine – a key ingredient in the red P method of Meth manufacturing.  Police found the lab inside the home and other lab components in a detached shed on the property.

In Georgia – Three people were arrested when sheriff's detectives discovered a Meth lab.  Two men, 52- and 44-years-old, and a 48-year-old woman face multiple charges, including Meth manufacturing and trafficking.  They also are charged with cruelty to children.  Three youngsters were in the home where the Meth lab was located; they were turned over to the Department of Family and Children Services. 

In Colorado – An employee at a storage unit discovered the chemicals and equipment for a Meth lab when the renters fell behind on their payments.  The woman was told to get medical help after authorities became concerned she may have been exposed to toxic vapors in the unit.  Investigators were getting arrest warrants for two suspects, and others may be identified from fingerprint evidence found in the storage unit.
