In South Dakota - A 45-year-old man and his 41-year-old wife were arrested after a search of their home turned up Meth, guns and ammunition.  The couple faces felony charges of Meth possession and manufacturing or distribution.  Two children reportedly live in the home, but were not there at the time of the raid.  Officers found 3.5 grams of meth, 3.2 grams of amphetamines, multiple tanks of anhydrous ammonia, digital scales and several pipes with Meth residue.  They also seized two assault rifles, a .22-caliber rifle, 12-gauge shotgun and 9 mm handgun and 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

In Arizona/Colorado - A 5-year-old girl abducted in Arizona was found in Colorado.  A friend of the child’s former stepfather had picked her up from her school earlier this month.  The friend then contacted the little girl’s grandmother, claiming that the man was demanding two-ounces of Meth for the child’s return.  The girl was found at a home in Colorado, and her former stepfather was arrested.

In Montana - A 35-year-old man who admitted trafficking Meth as part of a conspiracy was sentenced to 20-years in federal prison.  In exchange for his guilty plea, 19 other charges were dropped.  He was accused of being a part of a ring that brought Meth into Montana from Arizona.

In Oklahoma - Police arrested two men, 50- and 35-years old, on suspicion of Meth manufacturing. Some store employees who were suspicious of their purchases, including iodine and camping fuel, tipped off officers to their possible Meth activity.  When police pulled the men over for questioning, the suspects offered conflicting explanations about their purchases.  A search of their truck turned up more materials for Meth manufacturing.  When police discovered one of the men lived in a trailer associated with an ongoing investigation, they got and executed a search warrant at the residence.  There, they found two Meth labs, one in the cooking process.  Both suspects face numerous Meth related charges.

In Kentucky - Five people were arrested and 17 others evacuated from an apartment complex after sheriff’s deputies discovered an active Meth lab in one apartment.  They were following up on tips provided by an informant when they came across the lab, an extremely dangerous type known as a ‘one step’ lab, where all the chemicals and other ingredients are dumped into the equipment at the same time.  All five suspects are charged with wanton endangerment, manufacturing Meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In Colorado - Police raided a Meth lab found in a home near a middle school.  Two people were arrested, and a third is pending.

In Wisconsin - An 18-year-old man was arrested after a search of his home turned up Meth paraphernalia and dozens of images of child porn. Federal and state officers searched his home and found almost 100 pornographic images.  Charges against the man are pending.

In Idaho - A 62-year-old woman was sentenced to six-years in federal prison for Meth distribution.  She was arrested, along with a man, after an eight-month investigation into their Meth trafficking operation.   The man pled guilty to distributing Meth and received a 13-year federal prison sentence.  The woman was convicted after a jury trial on four counts of distributing Meth and one count of possessing Meth with the intent to distribute it.
