MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In South Dakota -Citizens helped police arrest a motorcyclist charged with several drug-related charges.  An officer originally tried to pull over the 29-year-old man for speeding, but he refused to stop.  Police did not pursue him because of traffic congestion, but the cyclist shortly lost control of his bike and tried to run from the scene.  People helped police capture the suspect and a search turned up more than 8-grams of crystal Meth in the man’s possession, along with paraphernalia.  the suspect now faces charges including possession, possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic violations.

In Kentucky - Police discovered what they describe as large Meth lab inside a vacant home. Officers have a suspect who is still at large.

In Indiana - A probation check led to a Meth lab bust when officers discovered an active lab in a home.  Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Meth manufacturing charges and a 32-year-old man for possessing precursors.  Four other people were arrested for maintaining a common nuisance.

In North Carolina -
Sheriff deputies uncovered an alleged Meth lab when they checked on a call about suspicious behavior at a home.  Officers found chemicals for Meth manufacturing inside the house and a nearby pickup truck.  A man and woman were arrested on Meth manufacturing and possession charges.

In Georgia - A suspected home Meth lab exploded and caused a fire.  A passerby called in the house fire.  Two men were seriously burned in the fire and were taken to a hospital.  Police discovered the Meth lab inside the home.

In Indiana - A man was arrested on charges of possessing Meth and Meth precursors, and a stolen gun.  He was first pulled over by police because his vehicle had expired plates.
