In Michigan – Police found a Meth lab in a car thanks to tips from neighbors about possible drug dealing.  Investigators put surveillance on the suspect home and followed two men who put a duffel bag in the trunk of their car before leaving the residence.  A K-9 unit alerted police to narcotics in the trunk; a search turned up the lab in the duffel bag, along with more components and a large knife in the front seat area.  The two men were arrested on Meth possession and manufacturing charges, and a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

In Georgia - Deputies blocked off part of a road after a traffic stop revealed a Meth lab in the truck.  Two men, 36- and 30-years-old, were arrested on Meth manufacturing charges.

In Tennessee - Two children are recovering after police discovered a working Meth lab in their home.  Authorities searched the home after tips from the family’s neighbors. Four adults were arrested on the scene and the children were taken to an emergency room.

In Washington – A two-year-old boy is recovering from internal damages he suffered after swallowing a toxic chemical in his parents’ home Meth lab.  After he swallowed the chemical, his 21-year-old mother took him to a hospital.  That triggered a police investigation and a search of the home revealed the Meth lab.  The woman and a man pleaded not guilty to charges of Meth possession.  The woman has a previous conviction for possession with intent to manufacture Meth.  The boy’s grandparents are fighting for full custody of the child.

In Texas - A jury convicted a 38-year-old woman on charges of intoxication manslaughter in the death of a 32-year-old man.  The defendant was high on Meth when she rear-ended the victim’s truck last March. The truck was shoved more than 100-feet.

In Florida - A SWAT team and narcotics detectives raided a Meth lab inside a shed after authorities trying to serve an arrest warrant discovered the operation.  They were originally trying to pick up a 25-year-old man at the trailer home, but the suspect ran when the deputies arrived.  The officers saw what appeared to be a Meth lab and got a search warrant for the property.  The suspect returned while officers were performing the search and was arrested on charges of trafficking and possession.  Investigators say there were plenty of ingredients for cooking Meth, but the lab itself was not active when they entered the shed.

In Alabama – Police arrested two men in connection with a large Meth lab.  Officers discovered the operation when they tried to serve one of the suspects with a domestic violence arrest warrant at his home.  The officers saw several Meth-manufacturing chemicals and some finished product in the home and began an official search of the rest of the property.  They found 50- to 60-gallons of liquid in different phases of the cooking process around the property.  The two men present during the raid are charged on multiple Meth-related charges. The crew hired to clean up the property used 51 5-gallon containers and 30 50-gallon trash bags to remove the Meth making chemicals from the home.

In Illinois – Two 22-eyar-old men, a 19-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman all face charges of stealing anhydrous ammonia and using it to make Meth.  When police found them all in the same home, they also fond a shotgun and ammunition.
