In
Oregon - Two people were arrested and three children were taken into
protective custody after detectives served search warrants at two locations. A
41-year-old man faces nine counts of Meth possession and nine charges of Meth
delivery. When he was arrested, he was on probation from an earlier conviction
on Meth delivery. The 31-year-old woman who was arrested on Meth charges also
faces three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Police found
paraphernalia in the bedroom she shared with her three children, ages one
through 10. During the raid on the home, officers found more than half a pound
of Meth.
In
South Carolina – Two men, 53- and 28-years-old, and two women, 23- and
22-years-old, were arrested while allegedly trying to sell Meth. They all face
charges of Meth trafficking and one faces an additional charge of possessing a
weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Officers seized 31-ounces of
Meth and $16,000 in cash during the arrests. Officials investigated the case
for a year before moving in. They had information that one of the suspects
received more than five pounds of crystal Meth, manufactured in Mexico, every
week. He then allegedly split it up for distribution with the others.
Investigators say the group sold more than 50 pounds of ice in the last two
years.
In
Iowa – Firefighters responding to a report of smoke coming from a building
did not find a fire – but the investigation did turn up a potential Meth lab.
Authorities got a search warrant and found the materials for cooking Meth and
evidence of some Meth production.
In
Kentucky - A couple was arrested on Meth charges after the state police went
to their home to check on the welfare of a child. The 24-year-old woman and
21-year-old man were found inside the home with an ounce of Meth, pills and
marijuana. Police also found a Meth lab inside the home.
