In Indiana - A 42-year-old man pleaded guilty to Meth manufacturing, explaining to the court that he made the Meth because he couldn't afford to buy it.  He was sentenced to nine-years in prison.  This summer, a conservation officer caught the defendant next to an oil well near a river, operating an active Meth lab.

In Georgia -
Sheriff's deputies stopped a pickup truck and discovered a dangerous situation.  They found an active Meth lab in the truck bed, and Meth oil and a hydrogen chloride gas generator in the cab. Besides that, the driver and his passenger were both smoking Meth in the cab at the time.  The highway was shut down for seven-hours while the explosive situation was cleared up.  Police performing a follow up investigation served a search warrant at a mobile home and seized more Meth, arresting two more suspects.

In Oregon - Four people were taken into custody and five others cited after officers executed a search warrant on a sprawling property.  Authorities investigating a Meth distribution ring went over the house, garage, several outbuildings and two camper trailers during the search.  Detectives found Meth and marijuana, along with firearms and evidence pointing to Meth distribution.  The suspects, ranging from 28-years-old up to 59, face a range of Meth-related charges.

In California – Children and Family Services officials took a 5-year-old girl into protective custody after a drug raid at her home.  Police found more than 10-grams of Meth, some marijuana and prescriptions drugs in the house.  Two men, 54- and 38-years-old, and two women, 47- and 21-years-old, were arrested during the raid.

In Alaska - A 32-year-old man convicted of distributing 16-grams of Meth received a two year prison sentence.

In Montana - A 47-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring to distribute Meth.  A federal indictment claims the two worked together to distribute large amounts of Meth for two years.  If convicted, they both face a minimum mandatory 10-years to life in prison and a possible $4 million fine.
