Oct. 2, 2007In Minnesota - A 14-year-old girl is being held in a juvenile detention center after allegedly bringing crystal Meth to her middle school. Seven students were taken to hospitals after ingesting some of the Meth. School officials were alerted to the problem after one girl went to the school nurse because she wasn't feeling well and was anxious and scared. She told the school that the group had found a substance and taken it. In Michigan - Officers raided an apartment complex after finding suspicious items in a truck. They allegedly found evidence of a Meth lab, but the investigation was in its early stages. In Montana - A 26-year-old man was sentenced to eight-years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing Meth with the intent to distribute it and to being a felon in possession of firearms. He was arrested in 2005 after a high-speed chase. When officers caught him, they discovered Meth and guns in his vehicle. In Texas – A 19-year-old woman faces charges of intent to manufacture Meth after officers raided her hotel room. The police executed a search warrant after receiving tips about Meth activity. About three-dozen hotel guests were evacuated after the raid. In Michigan – Deputies stopped to help a 52-year-old man they saw on a roadside, apparently out of gas. The man told the deputy he found a black bag in the ditch at roadside; the deputy found Meth and components for a Meth lab inside the bag. The man was arrested after the deputy found a burnt piece foil used to smoke Meth on him. He now faces felony charges of Meth possession and intent to manufacture. If convicted, he could face up to 10-years in prison for each charge. In Iowa - Two men face charges of Meth manufacturing after a house fire revealed a potential Meth lab. Officers were called to investigate a report of smoke and a “bad smell”. They arrested the suspects, 29- and 21-years-old, after finding Meth, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, prescription pills and components of a Meth lab. Back to
