MAPP-SD, a project of Prairie View Prevention Services, Inc., is a comprehensive Methamphetamine awareness and prevention project. 
MAPP-SD is dedicated to:
u   Increase awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and distribution;
u Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In Georgia/Tennessee - A 26-year-old woman arrested as a pregnant fugitive using an assumed name when she returned to the United States from Mexico pleaded not guilty to a federal charge of conspiring with two men to distribute Meth in Tennessee.  The men have already made plea deals in their cases.  The woman was arrested while carrying about 8-ounces of Meth in a plastic container.  She will go on trial in December. 

In Tennessee - Police found three bundles of Meth hidden underneath a truck after a routine traffic stop.  The Meth weighed in at 2.5-pounds.  The driver, a 27-year-old man, and his passenger, a 35-year-old man, are charged with possession of crystal Meth for resale.  One man also faces an immigration hold because he is suspected of illegally entering the United States. 

In Michigan
Officials checking on why three young children weren't in school found a working Meth lab in their home. Officers arrested three people, including the children's mother, who showed up at the home with more Meth-making materials.  In all, four children were taken into protective custody.

In Texas - A deputy stopped a car on a traffic violation and searched the vehicle.  He turned up nearly $30,000 worth of chemicals and materials for a Meth lab.
