In Arizona - Customs and Border Protection officers discovered 15 packages of Meth inside a car driven by a 22-year-old woman.  Officers seized the 18-pounds of Meth and arrested the woman. Since the first of October, border patrol officers have stopped 15 attempts at smuggling Meth, marijuana and cocaine, seizing nearly 850 pounds of drugs.

In Oregon - Police served a warrant at an apartment and discovered evidence of Meth cooking and drug dealing.  They also found a three-month old baby, living with its 17-year-old mother and other adults.  There were two mattresses on the bedroom floor, but no crib in the home.  Officers found a Meth pipe next to a breast pump and other baby items.  Police seized evidence of a Meth lab and sales.  The baby was taken into state custody and will be tested for drugs.  The 17-year-old woman was arrested and charged with possessing, making and selling Meth, child neglect and endangering a minor.  Another woman, 33-years-old, and two men, 39- and 24-years-old, are charged with possessing, making and selling Meth along with child neglect.

In Alabama - When deputies went to a 32-year-old man’s home to arrest him on a warrant for failing to pay child support, they noticed signs of a Meth lab inside the house.  They got a search warrant and found Meth-making materials as well as guns and explosives. The man was arrested on manufacturing charges and a 31-year-old woman who was in the home was also arrested on drug paraphernalia charges. The man is a previously convicted felon and will likely face additional weapon possession charges.

In Alaska – A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty to attempting to possess Meth with the intent to sell it.  He was arrested after receiving a package mailed to him from California that postal inspectors intercepted.  Inside the package was a stuffed animal full of 200-grams of Meth.  He faces up to 40-years in prison when he is sentenced in January.

In Ohio - A couple pleaded guilty to running a Meth lab and endangering children. The 35-year-old man and his 27-year-old wife were arrested after police raided their home Meth lab.  Their children, 4- and 6-years-old, were put in the care of the county; the rental house was condemned and the upstairs neighbors were forced to move.  The man has been sentenced to four years and 11 months in prison.  The woman faces up to four and a half years in prison when she is sentenced in December.

In Pennsylvania - Five people pleaded guilty to felony drug charges involving a Meth trafficking conspiracy.  The men and women, ranging in age from 24- to 46-years-old, admitted to possessing Meth when they were arrested.  They will probably be sentenced in December.

In Washington - Police are investigating charges that a 43-year-old man sliced his girlfriend’s hand with a knife; he is already in jail on Meth possession charges.  Officers first responded to a call about a domestic violence along an Interstate.  They found the woman in a café, hiding from the suspect.  She had a cut on her hand allegedly from a knife the man was holding during their fight. When officers found the man, he reportedly had Meth and paraphernalia on him.

In Texas A police chief is on suspension during an internal investigation and his police department has moved to a new location – all due to the alleged improper storage of evidence seized in a Meth arrest.  The evidence included ingredients for Meth manufacturing and was seized during a traffic stop more than a month ago.  Reportedly, the police chief did not dispose of the toxic materials and apparently left them in the police department for weeks.  The noxious fumes apparently caused several city employees, including other officers, to become ill.

In Florida - A 41-year-old man was arrested after deputies reportedly found several hundred grams of Meth oil at his house.  He is charged with Meth manufacturing and trafficking.

In Colorado -
A 41-year-old man considered the center of a large Meth trafficking ring was sentenced to 96-years in prison.  The judge ruled the defendant was a habitual criminal, based on his four prior felony convictions.  The man was one of more than 30-people arrested during the Meth sweep.  He supplied four- to six-pounds of Meth to the organization every two weeks.
