In
Alabama - Police investigating a report that a woman was being held at a
home against her will instead discovered a house protected by trip wires and a
working Meth lab. The woman they were looking for was at the house, but she
told them she was there of her own free will. She was arrested on charges of
Meth manufacturing. Police are searching for the woman’s boyfriend, who is
wanted on outstanding manufacturing and possession charges.
In
Florida - Sheriff's deputies investigating a tip concerning the location of
a woman wanted on drug charges found the 33-year-old in a motel room, along with
a Meth lab. Officers are looking for two other people they believe were
involved with the lab.
In
Wisconsin - A 40-year-old man pleaded guilty to dealing Meth as part of a
drug trafficking conspiracy. He traveled with co-conspirators from Minnesota to
California with large amounts of cash to buy multi-pound quantities of Meth.
They then brought the Meth back to Wisconsin to sell.
In
Washington – A 25-year-old man police believe was the cook in a three-man
Meth manufacturing operation received a 51-month prison sentence. He reportedly
was the only one of the trio who knew how to make Meth, and would give finished
Meth to the others in exchange for them buying the needed pseudoephedrine and
providing a place for the cooking. The others, 38- ad 19-years-old, were
already sentenced.
In
West Virginia –
Officers
investigating a shoplifting call discovered a Meth lab in a suspect’s home. Two
men were arrested and charged with operating a Meth lab and exposing first
responders to the production process. Officials have condemned the house and
the owner has 20 days to decide whether he'll pay to clean it up before the
county prepares to tear it down.
In
California – Federal agents
say one quiet
neighborhood was actually part of an international crystal Meth ring that
stretched to Hawaii and as far away as the Philippines. They allege that one
man purchased tens of thousands of dollars of Meth at his home for a Hawaiian
resident and Kauai cartel member. Officials say the Hawaiian suspect flew to
Sacramento to get Meth from the Californian. During that alleged deal, the men
exchanged more than $50,000 for three-pounds of high quality Meth. Authorities
say similar transactions were taking place with the Hawaiian cartel in the
Philippines.
