MAPP-SD is dedicated to:

awareness of Meth and the problems associated with its use, manufacture and
distribution;

Provide, at no cost, professional Meth awareness and prevention education to
groups and organizations on a community, regional and statewide level;
u
Be a no-cost, ongoing resource for South Dakota citizens to deal with issues
rising from the manufacture, use and distribution of Meth.

In
Michigan - A 50-year-old man faces multiple drug charges after
authorities discovered a Meth lab in a barn. The lab was set up to
produce a batch of Meth at least every other day, according to a sheriff’s
department estimate. The suspect will be charged with possession and
intent to deliver Meth, possession of marijuana, drug manufacturing,
felony firearms violation and maintaining a drug house. Authorities plan
to seek charges against a second man, a 53-year-old, in connection to the
Meth lab.
In
Ohio – Sheriff’s deputies executing a search warrant found a large
amount of items used for Meth manufacturing in a home. Two men, 35- and
25-years old, face charges of manufacturing drugs (a second degree felony)
and weapons under disability (a third degree felony). Both men were out
on bond from a previous indictment for Meth manufacturing.
In
Washington – A 41-year-old woman was sentenced to six years in prison
for possession of two gallon-size plastic bags filled with Meth. She
pleaded guilty in September, saying
she had no
way to pay her bills other than to sell Meth. The government alleged that
she had nearly 100 customers. In addition to the Meth, investigators
found digital scales, packaging materials, a pistol and a money counter in
her possession.
Court records showed
she was able to order pound quantities of Meth from her supplier.
